Chevrolet fulfills the long-term promise of the iconic Corvette with the introduction of the 2020 Stingray, the brand’s first-ever production mid-engine Corvette. The Stingray is designed for superior ride comfort on the highway and well-balanced handling on the track.

The mid-engine architecture allows for a short, straight and stiff steering system, coupled with an updated electronic steering system, making the driver’s chassis input instantaneous. Launch control aided by the rear weight distribution, enabling the new Stingray to get off the line quicker than any Corvette in history.
Front suspension lift that raises ground clearance by approximately 40mm at the front bumper in 2.8 seconds, protecting against bumps, potholes, steep driveways and other road disturbances. It can operate at speeds up to 37 km/h and be programmed to work automatically through GPS to remember up to 1,000 locations.
The all-new body structure is more than 10% stiffer than the previous generation, which contributes to ride and confidence-inspiring handling.
The two-piece top can be activated at speeds up to 48 km/h (30 mph) and retract in as few as 16 seconds. It is powered by six electric motors — a Corvette first — and uses encoders for precise control. Switching to electric motors from hydraulic systems helps increase reliability.
The roof system design, combined with the same rear spoiler used on the Stingray coupe’s Z51 Performance Package, results in identical drag between the coupe and convertible with the top up.
A divider glass window in the middle of the vehicle can be power adjusted with the top up or down. The glass has been optimized to reduce air re-circulation and wind noise in the cabin for improved quietness.

PERFORMANCE ALL-SEASON TIRES
The Chevrolet Corvette is the first sports car application of Michelin’s all-season performance tire that can corner at nearly 1G.
STANDARD LARGER BREMBO BRAKES
All-new brakes have improved cooling and larger surface areas for consistent performance. Duralife brake rotors have better resistance to corrosion to increase rotor life, minimize brake pulsation, and improve aesthetic appearance. Brake system features a corrosion-fighting process called Ferritic Nitro Carburizing which can double rotor life expectancy and reduce or minimize rust.
Driver mode choices have been expanded from four to six, allowing drivers to tweak the feel of their Corvettes to their personal preference. The familiar Weather, Tour, Sport and Track modes remain along with 2 new modes which include MyMode & Z mode.
The 2020 Stingray’s exterior has a bold, futuristic expression with mid-engine exotic proportions, but it is still unmistakably Corvette. It’s lean and muscular, with an athletic sculptural shape conveying a sense of motion and power from every angle.
DCT 8-SPEED TRANSMISSION
The next generation LT2 is paired with Chevrolet’s first eight speed dual-clutch transmission, which provides lightning-fast shifts and excellent power transfer. This transmission is uniquely designed with TREMEC to provide the best of both worlds: the spirited, direct connected feeling of a manual and the premium driving comfort of an automatic. The double-paddle de-clutch feature even allows the driver to disconnect the clutch by holding both paddles for more manual control.
REAR VISION CAMERA (HD)
When in Reverse at low speeds, provides you a high resolution view of the scene directly behind the vehicle on the Infotainment screen to help you park and avoid nearby objects.
Dynamic guidelines laid over the display image assist in parking manoeuvres by showing the vehicle’s path.
LED TAIL LAMPS

QUAD EXHAUST TIPS
A departure from previous Corvettes, the new quad exhaust tips are located on the vehicle's outboard ends rather than the center.
The mid-engine design yields a large trunk - big enough for two golf bags.

DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER
The 12-inch screen directly behind the steering wheel lets you control not only what vehicle information you see, but also how you see it. Speed, settings, turn-by-turn navigation, media, and telephone are all easily viewed through this screen.
DRIVER CENTRIC COCKPIT
The cockpit of the C8 Chevrolet Corvette has been moved forward by 420 mm (16.5”), but envelops the driver, conveying the high performance and aeronautic theme.
Vertical climate controls and ultra-thin vents minimize the height of the instrument panel, creating a low, spacious interior.
There are those who don’t use a smartphone, and therefore wouldn’t benefit from the MyChevrolet mobile app - but now, some of that technology is available right here in the vehicle. Up to 10 phones can be connected via Bluetooth and up to 2 simultaneously.
