Transmissions
The next-generation LT2 is matched with Chevrolet’s first 8-speed dual-clutch transmission (M1L), engineered for ultra-quick shifts and smooth power delivery. Developed with TREMEC, it blends the connected feel of a manual with the comfort of an automatic.
A unique double-paddle de-clutch feature lets drivers disengage the clutch by pulling both paddles, adding a more hands-on driving experience.
The Z06 and ZR1 use upgraded versions of the 8-speed dual-clutch (M1MZ06 / M1KZR1) with a shorter 5.56 final drive ratio, boosting acceleration compared to Stingray.
The E-Ray features its own 8-speed dual-clutch (MLH) with a variable Drive Style Index, which adapts to your driving inputs for perfectly timed gear holds and downshifts. It uses a 5.17 final drive ratio, matching the Stingray.
Top Choice
Corvette has always embraced open-air driving, and the Stingray continues that legacy with its retractable hardtop design.
Built on the same rigid architecture, the Z06, ZR1, and E-Ray are engineered for strength and performance — allowing even the track-focused models to be offered as hardtop convertibles. The E-Ray is available as both a removable-roof coupe and a power hardtop convertible.
The seamless roof design maintains strong storage space and high performance, even with the top down — making it one of the most track-capable Corvette convertibles ever. A rear power-adjustable window and dedicated cooling vent support the mid-engine layout.
The two-piece hardtop operates at speeds up to 48 km/h (30 mph) using six electric motors. Lightweight and durable, the composite roof weighs just 35 kg (77 lb.) and is available in body colour or Carbon Flash.
Interior
The Corvette interior is designed like a true driver-focused cockpit, inspired by high-performance and aviation themes.
Slim vertical climate controls and ultra-thin air vents create a lower dashboard for a more open, spacious feel. On the E-Ray, the console also includes dedicated Charge+ and Stop/Start buttons.
A compact, squared two-spoke steering wheel provides a clear view of the 12-inch fully digital cluster display. Premium materials are everywhere, including hand-wrapped leather, bold stitching, real metal accents, and available carbon fiber trim.
GT2 and Competition Sport seats feature carbon fiber detailing, while buyers can choose real aluminum or real carbon fiber trim for the console and doors.
Z06, ZR1, and E-Ray models offer exclusive upgrades such as a carbon fiber-wrapped steering wheel, carbon shift paddles, and available Level 2 carbon fiber interior packages — plus premium leather options like Adrenaline Red Dipped or Artemis interiors.

For 2026, all Corvette models-Stingray, E-Ray, Z06, and ZR1-will have completely redesigned interiors. Chevrolet describes these updates as “thoroughly reimagined.” Key interior enhancements include: New Seating Surfaces: Updated materials and designs for enhanced comfort and an even sportier look.
For the 2026 model year, the entire Corvette lineup — Stingray, E-Ray, Z06, and ZR1 — will feature a thoroughly reimagined cabin with larger and more advanced driver-centric displays and fresh interior colorways, finishes and materials.
Yes, a modern Corvette (especially the C8 generation) is generally faster than a stock Dodge Hellcat, particularly in acceleration from a standstill (0-60 mph and 1/4 mile) due to superior traction and engineering, despite the Hellcat often having significantly more horsepower; the Corvette's mid-engine layout and advanced traction management allow it to hook up and launch better, overcoming the Hellcat's raw power advantage, especially in lower gears, though the Hellcat can catch up at higher speeds in rolling races.
The 1LT provides you with a quiet interior, quality speakers and comfortable seating, while the 2LT gives you major safety upgrades, convenience enhancements and heating features. The 3LT gives you added luxury with even more comfortable seats and attractive features.
The Corvette ZR1 is significantly faster and more powerful than the Z06, holding the title as the pinnacle of Corvette performance with its hybrid powertrain, massive horsepower (1064+ hp), higher top speeds (233 mph), and quicker lap times on tracks like the Nürburgring, while the Z06 offers a more connected, naturally aspirated driving experience, making it a great choice for those prioritizing engine sound and handling character over outright speed records, says GM Authority and Top Gear.
The 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT trims of the Chevrolet Corvette each offer distinct features that cater to different needs. The 1LT is the entry-level trim, providing a quiet interior, quality speakers, and comfortable seating. It's equipped with a 10-speaker Bose audio system, manual folding mirrors, and GT1 bucket seats.
