The 2022 Silverado HD blends familiar design elements with fresh new ideas. The familiar front horizontal grille remains but is now accented by a full-width Chevrolet cross bar and dual-element headlights.
Larger, stronger, more functional truck box designed for the needs of a heavy-duty customer. Made with high-strength steel, the bed features 12 standard tie-down points and a larger CornerStep rear bumper for easier access in and out of the bed. The available power tailgate can open and close at the touch of a button either on the tailgate itself, on the key fob, or from inside the cab.
With up to 15 cameras, there no where around the Chevy Silverado HD that you can't see. The Silverado Heavy Duty offers more camera views than any other competitor, all working to improve your towing job from start to finish. They can make it easier to get hitched up, provide confidence while you’re on the road, and even help you maneuver into tight spots when you’re ready to park.

The all-new 2022 Chevrolet Silverado HD offers two engines specifically designed to meet the demands of heavy-duty customers. An all new 6.6L V8 gas engine with 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque & an available 6.6L Duramax turbo-diesel with 910 lb-ft of torque.
New larger and more functional door-mounted trailering mirrors are standard on the 2500 and 3500 heavy-duty trucks. The mirrors extend and retract using a fourbar-link system that makes for smoother operation, whether done with power or manually.
New for 2022 is the forward-facing spot lamp on each mirror that shines light at about a 45-degree angle, providing illumination on the job site or camp site. If equipped, cargo mirror lamps face rearward to provide more light on the sides of the vehicle, if needed.
The all-new BedStep that allows you to reach inside the forward half of the cargo box is a simple concept but a clever addition to the HD trucks.

AROUND THE SILVERADO HD
LED RUNNING LIGHTS AND HEADLAMPS
LED headlamps, standard on LTZ and above, are effective and efficient, require less energy, and are housed in a more narrow space than ever before. LED reflector (high intensity) with LED signature curtain Daytime Running Lamps are standard on High Country trim.
FORWARD PARK ASSIST
When driving below 8 km/h, this feature provides distance-to-object alerts to help you park and avoid nearby detected objects directly ahead of or behind the truck during low-speed maneuvering.
POWER TAKE OFF (PTO)
The PTO option available with the 10-speed Allison transmission consists of a clutch, drive gear, and an implementation shaft to allow owners to transfer power form the engine to another piece of equipment, such as a generator, pump, or hydraulic crane. Using a mode selector inside the truck, owners can adjust the PTO for the load and torque requirement and push button to start it.
LANE CHANGE ALERT
The system can help you prevent lane change crashes by providing side-mirror alerts when a moving vehicle is detected rapidly approaching a side blind zone or is in a blind zone.
HEAD-UP DISPLAY
A massive 15-inch diagonal multi-colour display is projected onto the windshield, low in the field of vision. Helps keep the driver's eyes on the road and is customizable for truck-specific information.
REAR CAMERA MIRROR
If equipped, this automatic dimming mirror provides a wide angle camera view of the area behind the vehicle. Streaming option available if some things are loaded in the cargo bed blocking the rear window. Pull the tab to turn on the display. Push the tab to turn it off. When off the mirror is automatic dimming.
