KEY FEATURES

The 2023 Chevrolet Colorado is powered by a 2.7L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. This motor powers all five models of the Colorado and produces three different outputs that exceed the outputs of the previous generation engine options.

  • 2.7L Turbo - 237 hp / 259 lb-ft
  • 2.7L Turbo Plus - 310 hp / 390 lb-ft
  • 2.7L Turbo High-Output - 310 hp / 430 lb-ft

The 2.7L Turbo is standard on the WT & LT trim levels. The Turbo Plus is standard on the Z71 & Trail Boss and available on the WT & LT. The High Output is standard on the ZR2.

This new single engine produces more power & torque in base form than the old 2.5L 4-cylinder. In the Plus and High Output configurations, it produces more power & torque than both the V6 and the Duramax diesel.

The Chevrolet Colorado benefits from a redesigned frame that pushes the front wheels forward by almost 3-inches while maintaining nearly the same overall length as the previous generation. This allows for a better approach angle when taking the pickup off the beaten path. The truck is only available as a crew-cab, short-bed configuration.

With the new frame and engine, the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado can tow up to 3,500 lbs with the base variant of the 2.7L Turbo engine. Moving up to the Turbo Plus or High-Output will enable up to 7,700 lbs of towing. The ZR2 is limited to 6,000 lbs of towing.

The bed features 8 standard tie down points and up to 9 additional tie-downs for a total of 17 available tie-downs. The segment first built-in tailgate storage is standard on the ZR2 and available on other models. There are also two motorcycle/bicycle tire grooves in the front bed wall and the tailgate can be positioned to a midway point for storage of longer items.
