2022 GMC SIERRA 1500

The 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 receives a fresh update with new looks, new interior, new technologies, but still the same capable and luxurious pickup truck that you've come to know. The new AT4X trim adds never before seen off-road capability from a GMC Sierra 1500. Also, the Sierra 1500 is the first GMC vehicle to receive Super Cruise hands-free highway driving assist.

LIGHTING

LED headlamps, standard on all trim levels, are effective and efficient, require less energy output, and are housed in a more narrow space than ever before. LED technology also allowed designers to create shapes that complement the contours of the grille.

FRONT AND REAR PARK ASSIST

When driving below 8 km/h, this feature provides distance-to-object alerts to help the driver park and avoid nearby detected objects directly ahead of or behind the vehicle during low-speed maneuvering.

HD SURROUND VISION

This feature provides the driver with a “bird’s eye” view of the scene around the vehicle on the infotainment screen.

DYNAMIC FUEL MANAGEMENT (DFM)

Nearly instantaneously, the engine control system will activate or deactivate cylinders in an industry-first 17 different patterns to help maximize fuel efficiency and create the power needed. This new technology is included on the EcoTec3 5.3L V8 engine with 10-speed transmission as well as the available EcoTec3 6.2L V8.

BED AND BOX

Sierra’s redesigned cargo box is longer and wider, with class-leading cargo volume. With available features like 12 standard tie-downs, innovative bed lighting, power lock and release tailgate, there are lots of great features to attract truck buyers in the bed alone.

HIGH STRENGTH STEEL

Built from stronger high-strength roll-formed steel than in previous generations, the bed floor of the All-New Sierra is tougher and lighter than ever. The GMC Sierra also benefits from available CarbonPro bed. This carbon reinforced bed is lighter and tougher than the steel bed, and corrosion resistant.

CORNER STEP BUMPER

In both corners of the rear bumper, large footwells, lined with an anti-slip texture and sized for large work boots, make access to the cargo box easier than ever.

PASSIVE KEYLESS ENTRY

Available on the SLE, and standard on models above, The Keyless Access system allows for doors and the tailgate to be accessed without pressing the RKE transmitter button. The RKE transmitter must be within 1m (3 ft) of the tailgate or door being opened. If the vehicle has this feature, there will be a button on the outside door handles.

WIRELESS CHARGING PAD

Keep the charging cords at home. When you’re on the road in the Sierra 1500 the wireless charging pad, located within easy reach near the cupholders, keeps your compatible smartphone charged and ready.

DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER

A new 12.3" driver screen provides more information and customization than ever before. Speed, settings, turn-by-turn navigation, media, and telephone are all easily viewed through this screen.

QUIET DRIVING EXPERIENCE

Engineered for a smooth, quiet ride, this premium light-duty pickup truck provides the comfort people expect.

CONNECTED ACCESS

There are those who don’t use a smartphone, and therefore wouldn’t benefit from the MyGMC mobile app - but now, some of that technology is available right here in the vehicle. Up to 10 phones can be connected via Bluetooth and up to 2 simultaneously.
