2024 CHEVROLET BLAZER EV

The SS badge returns but it is now on an electric vehicle. The 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV is the latest in a long lineup of Ultium based electric vehicles that are set to arrive over the coming years. The Blazer EV is a mid-size SUV with multiple trim offerings including 1LT, 2LT, RS, and the high performance SS trim.

KEY FEATURES

The Blazer EV utilizes the Ultium platform to its full extent. The architecture allows for front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive configurations. On the RS trim level of the Blazer EV, customers will be able to choose from one of the three available configurations.

With the Ultium battery pack, the 2024 Blazer EV has a GM estimated range of 515 km on a full charge in RS RWD form. The Blazer EV has a maximum 11.5 kW Level 2 charging and 190 kW DC Level 3 charging capabilities. This allows the crossover SUV to gain 125 km of driving range in as little as 10 minutes.

The Chevrolet Blazer EV benefits from the standard Chevrolet safety assist. This includes:

  • Automatic emergency braking
  • Front pedestrian braking
  • Lane keep assist with lane departure warning
  • Forward collision alert
  • Following distance indicator
  • Intellibeam auto high beams

The Chevrolet Blazer EV features the latest in infotainment and driver aid technologies. From the moment the driver enters the vehicle and pushes the brake pedal, the SUV is ready to. There is no push button to start the Blazer EV as the key fob authorizes the hands-free start system.

The navigation system can plan routes around charging stations through the myChevrolet app. The infotainment system is displayed on a 17.7-inch touchscreen with the driver information cluster measuring 11-inches in size.

The Blazer EV is also available with Super Cruise. This is a driver assistance technology that allows for hands-free travel on divided and compatible highways throughout Canada & the United States.

The famous SS badge is now adorned by the Chevrolet Blazer EV. But it's more than just looks. This Blazer SS has the performance to back-up this iconic badge.

It features an exclusive AWD configuration with a Wide Open Watts (WOW) mode that enables up to 557 horsepower and 648 lb-ft of torque. The 0-96 km/h (0-60 mph) time is an estimated sub 4 seconds.

SPORTY DESIGN

Each of the Blazer EV's trims convey a muscular, athletic profile with front fender extractor vents that are a nod to Chevrolet's motorsport legacy. The LT features a monochromatic appearance and standard 19-inch wheels. The RS strikes a sportier black grille, black accents, and standard 21" wheels. The SS is the most aggressive of the bunch with a unique front grille, two-tone colour scheme, and 22-inch wheels.

POWERED CHARGE PORT

The Chevrolet Blazer EV features a powered opening charge door when it is pushed. The charge port is located on the front-driver's side fender.

GM's approach to EV charging by simplifying the overall charging experience with access to more than 100,000 charging points throughout Canada and the United States.

REGEN ON DEMAND, ONE-PEDAL DRIVING

These features are both driver-controlled braking systems which can convert the kinetic energy of the SUV's forward momentum into electricity stored in the vehicle's battery packs to maximize the driving range. With the pull of a steering wheel paddle, Regen on Demand can slow the vehicle to a full stop without pressing the brake pedal. Similarly, One-Pedal Driving can slow the vehicle to a full stop using the accelerator pedal providing very fine control.

PRESENCE-BASED LIFTGATE

For convenience, the liftgate can open hands-free when an owner with a key fob is recognized by the sensors at the rear of the Blazer EV. This is a standard feature on all trim levels.

Though Ultium battery technology is relatively new, the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV has an 8 year / 160,000 km limited battery warranty. That's like driving 4 times around the circumference of the Earth.

The refined cabin makes a modern design statement. The Blazer EV is available with wireless phone charging, standard heated seats and heated steering wheel on all trim levels, available ventilated front seats on RS and SS trims, unique RS and SS trim design cues with suede microfiber seating on the SS.
