A look at the 2020 Buick EnclaveBuick May 21th, 2020
The 2020 Buick Enclave is the 3-row offering from the premium luxury brand. A new design architecture enables a balanced, athletic appearance, with new proportions that give the redesigned Enclave a sleeker look.
Under the hood of the 2020 Buick Enclave is a 3.6L V6 engine that produces 310 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque at 2,800 rpms. It is a naturally aspirated engine and as such it responds instantly to driver inputs without any hesitation. The Buick Enclave doesn’t feel as though it is struggling to merge onto a highway or go up a steep hill with some speed. Furthermore, if you opt for the Trailering Package, the Enclave can tow up to 5,000 lbs. Fuel economy is rated at 9.6 L/100km on a highway and 13.6 L/100km in a city.
The V6 engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic that sends the power to the front wheels or all four wheels if you opt for the AWD option. It is a very smooth shifting transmission and unless you're looking at the tachometer, it's very hard to tell when the transmission shifts gears. It is that smooth.
Body roll around twisty mountain roads is relatively well composed and the steering is on the light side which makes it very easy to maneuver at slow speeds around a tight parking lot. For such a large SUV, the Buick Enclave feels composed around corners and handles its heft quite well.
Stopping the big SUV is an easy task as the brake pedal is easy to modulate for smooth stops. Forward automatic emergency braking is available on the Premier and Avenir trim levels.

The Buick Enclave shines in providing its occupants a smooth and comfortable ride. The Enclave glides over bumps in the road, giving the occupants a stellar ride whether it’s on poorly maintained city streets or on long highways.
A lot of thought has gone into the design and use of the available interior space. Getting in and out of the front, 2nd row and 3rd row is easy. The 2nd row captain’s chairs tilt and slide forward at the pull of a handle. With all seats up, the Buick Enclave has 668 L (23.6 cu-ft) of cargo space. Fold the 3rd row & 2nd row and that grows to 1,642 L (58 cu-ft) & 2,764 L (97.6 cu-ft) respectively. Compared to other premium 3-row SUVs, the Enclave provides the most cargo volume.
The base Essence trim of the Enclave is equipped with heated seats, leather upholstery, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity, blind spot sensors, 4G LTE with WiFi, automatic climate control, and remote start. The starting price for the Enclave Essence trim with front-wheel-drive is $48,198.
If you want a fully loaded Buick Enclave, the Avenir trim is the one to go for. It features options like wireless phone charging, heated and ventilated front seats, Bose premium audio system, heated second row seats, enhanced automatic emergency braking, surround vision, rear camera mirror, adaptive cruise control, 4-way power lumbar support with massage feature, and unique Avenir styling details to name a few. The Avenir trim costs $62,498 before packages and options and comes standard with all-wheel-drive.
