Highly anticipated 2014 Chevy Silverado set to arrive in Plainfield, IL

PLAINFIELD, Ill., June 26, 2013 –/PRNewswire-iReach/ — As rumors have come and gone and anticipation has continued to build over the past few months, the 2014 Chevy Silverado is finally set to arrive at Bill Jacobs Plainfield. While Chevy’s significantly refreshed pickup truck is sure to drive sales and create a buzz around the Channahon Chevy dealership, the real excitement comes from the performance and capability of the full-size pickup truck.

As Chevy strives to take a stronghold on the highly competitive pickup truck segment, the automaker has continued to refine the Silverado and improve upon its capabilities. Most noticeably, the 2014 Chevy Silverado has replaced some of the V6 and V8 engines from 2013 with EcoTec3 models that are designed to produce more power and torque while also providing improved fuel-economy. Those EcoTec3 engines utilize direct injection, variable valve timing, and cylinder deactivation technology to optimize efficiency and help boost towing and payload capacities.

Although the Chevy Silverado was the second best selling vehicle in America in 2013, the revamped 2014 version was able to create excitement through its astonishing capabilities and specs. For example, with the Max Trailer Package that is set to be available this fall, the Silverado will have a trailering capacity of 11,500 lbs. behind the 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8. Features like Trailer Sway Control with StabiliTrak help keep cargo secure while using smart technology to reduce engine power when cargo swaying or rocking is detected.

While the exterior changes from its predecessor are subtle, the capabilities and available options have received significant improvements from the previous Silverado. When the first delivery of 2014 pickups arrive at Bill Jacobs Plainfield, the new Silverado will join the 2014 Chevy Impala as the first 2014 Chevys on the lot.
