2022 BUICK ENVISION

The all-new 2022 Buick Envision strengthens Buick's premium SUV-only lineup, with more of the design, connectivity and safety features that resonate with today's highly-discerning customers. The 2022 Envision displays contemporary styling that is the most expressive of Buick's sculptural design language. The new Envision is purposefully contented with standard and available active safety and driver assistance technologies designed to help monitor the vehicle’s surroundings and alert the driver to potential hazards.

The Buick Envision is part of a very competitive automotive segment and it has very stiff competition from the premium Mazda CX-5 and recently updated Hyundai Tucson.

Compared to the Mazda CX-5, the Buick Envision has a more powerful standard engine. If you do want a more powerful engine in the CX-5, you have to opt for the GT trim which is approximately $2,100 more expensive than the Envision. Furthermore, the Envision can achieve better fuel economy numbers than the CX-5 with the optional 2.5 Turbo engine. Inside, the Buick Envision is not as spacious as the Mazda CX-5 but it does come with more standard advanced driver aids and safety features.

The new Buick Envision faces tougher competition from the recently redesigned Hyundai Tucson. Just like the Mazda, the Envision has a more powerful engine when compared to the base engine of the Tucson. The Buick's engine is similar in power to the optional Tucson engine but the Tucson's optional engine is a hybrid which has better fuel economy. Advanced driver aids and safety features are almost identical on both crossovers but the Envision takes a slight edge with standard front pedestrian braking.
