The Tahoe, Yukon and Suburban are names that have been around for quite a while. This trio of GM SUVs has made a name for themselves as powerful, roomy, family friendly vehicles. 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe

The Tahoe (and Yukon) is a good choice, as it is slightly smaller and easier to maneuver than the Suburban. Even though it is slightly smaller, it still has lots of room. The Tahoe has seating for 9 passengers (more than enough for the whole family and perhaps a few friends). With folding second and third row seats, you can quickly reconfigure the Tahoe for more cargo.

2014 GMC Yukon

Another reason many families love the Tahoe is for its power. A 5.3L V8 engine means that you can easily hook a trailer onto the back of a Tahoe and hit the road. If you have a boat, RV or utility trailer that will be tagging along with you, the Tahoe will have no trouble accommodating that. This is the same engine you will find in many Silverado and Sierras, but the interior has lots more space and long trips won’t feel quite as cramped.
